This
machine was designed to simulate a valve application in which there is impact
with a small amount of slip. The amount of slip is adjusted by changing the
angle of incline where the moving specimen impacts the fixed specimen. This unit
has a hot stage and an atmospheric enclosure to control the humidity level.
